Andrew Melling

With over two decades of experience in financial services, Andrew Melling began his career as a research analyst in their family financial planning business in 1999 and in 2004 became an authorized financial planner. In 2008 after completing his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, Andrew founded Next Generation Financial Planning, with a focus on growing and protecting the wealth of his clients predominantly in the workforce.

In July of 2024, after 15 years of operating a financial planning business, Andrew decided to focus on providing a holistic finance business and honing the skills he had acquired over these two decades to service the needs of not only his clients but a select team of other professionals and their clients. In the community section of our website, you can find a list of these specialist professionals, and also the team of finance brokers who are there to provide superlative service to these clients, under the supervision and guidance of Andrew.
Andrew's passion lies in helping clients navigate the complexities of mortgages and financing, ensuring they make informed decisions that align with their financial goals. He offers strategic advice on home loans, refinancing options, and property investments, all while prioritizing responsible lending practices. Through his expertise, Andrew empowers his clients to build and protect their wealth, and works in collaboration with trusted, experienced professionals to provide exceptional service.

When I first met Andy (Andrew) I was renting and looking for a home, had no idea how much I could borrow and no idea about the process. Over a Zoom meeting Andy went through my options with me and it didn’t take long before I was pre-approved for finance and had signed a contract to buy my first home!The lender that we went with had a very low rate of (under 2% p.a), which was awesome, but unfortunately they weren’t the best lender to deal with up to settlement. Thanks to Andy though, he made the whole process a lot easier for me, and made everything much less stressful than it could have been. The communication he had between all parties was fantastic and smoothed out any issues that we faced along the road. Definitely couldn’t have done it without him.Would highly recommend Andy to any first home buyer who feels they may need guidance and things explained along the way like I did. I can't thank the team at Next Generation Mortgages enough for their amazing work in helping me with my mortgage!I thought that owning a small business would make it a lot more challenging to get approved for a mortgage. NGM knew exactly what lenders to consider and which to avoid and I couldn't believe what an amazing interest rate and quick approval they were able to achieve for me.The process was excellent from start to finish. Andy and Daniela were great to deal with and with Andy also being a financial planner, he provided me with some other great info and options moving forward. I can't recommend Next Generation Mortgages enough if you're looking for a mortgage broker in Melbourne.
